Alexander and Pella "finds"

Post by marcus »

News picked up from RogueClassicism today.

First, an Alexandrian inscription ... hmmm.

Second, a ceramics workshop at Pella, which seems much less dodgy.

Thanks as always to RogueClassicism for the heads up!

Hi Marcus, I just read that the "inscription" story is an April Fool's joke. At FIA, Focus. So saith the professor!

Hello again, Also in that same Rogueclassicism page on March 28 is an article about the Persian Treasures to be found under the Black Sea. This is not a hoax however, and is an interesting article about treasure that Alexander is supposed to have buried in catacombs and caves. Supposedly first proposed by Strabo.
