Can anyone here tell me if Parmenio and attalus were at the battle of chaironea . Thanks

Well, Amir, we cannot be 100% certain that they were, because the sources do not say so explicitly. However, there is a very good chance that they were there.All the bestMarcus

Hello, I agree with Marcus- in all probability they were there- definitely Parmenion as Philip's right hand man.
I also wanted to mention that I am shortly going to read Mr Olmstead's collosal "History of the Persian Empire." I have heard that it gives you quite an excellent picture yet I understand that in the final part there is a denigration of Alexander.
I will let you know when I read it.

Good luck with Olmstead! I have never managed to get further than the first 150-odd pages, and I deliberately tried not to take a peek at the stuff on Alexander. I will take it up again, when I can face it! :-)All the bestMarcus
