Apparently they've found some new information on Salamis and Chaeronea.

Bugger! What a bloody tease! My computer in the office has not the programme to open the archived material.

What a little teaser that is about Chaeronea! Loss down to an chance!? Give me more! Mind you, as a supporter of the resistance to Philip, he'd likely justify the defeat one thinks. That may be churlish though.

220 triremes at Salamis eh? This seems to gel with figures I've seen given the Athenian losses at Artemesium. Narrows or not, it makes a mockery of Herodotus' numbers for the Persians If it is correct, of course.

Be wonderful if he some figures for Palataea.....
