Sisygambis was likely fond of Alexander or at least respected him because he treated her well, but she was elderly, and probably tired of life by that time, seeing her country conquored, her son killed so she probably just gave up and willed herself to die. If Olympias had recorded any of her thoughts about Alexander or anything else to do with the dynasty, likely Kassandros would have had it destroyed. It's a pity. She was a strong, remarkable woman and it would have been a treasure to have something recorded in her own words.
