Alexanders resemblence to the BAFTA mask?

Marcus and Our English Porthonians.My post is basically about the BAFTA mask awards.Ive seen them for quite some time and noticed a definate similarity to an Alexander picture.Marcus Porthonians can you juat take a look in Renaults, The Nature of Alexander.
Page 67 there is a picture page with 4 stautues ,Take a look at the bottom left in the book its called,,, A Roman copy of an Original by Lysippus. Maybe im alone with my view the face looks exactly like the BAFTA mask inparticular the hair line and curls.Just a mention Kenny

Ha! Good call, Kenny!I don't know whether the award was based at all on an Alexander bust or statue, but you're right that there is a similarity. It's a bit formalised to be a true 'copy', but I wonder whether they did indeed take their inspiration from our chum ...Marcus

Hail MarcusI doubt the ceremony has anything at all to do with our guy,,,, But everytime I see those golden masks I see the Alexander statue.Kenny

IMHO I think it is the mask of Apollo, him being the god of Art (and the Muses). Appropriate I think!
