I know that I said I thought a script for this movie was available here, but as I just reread the article by Nick, I realize that it isn't the script but a synopsis. I am so impressed with the four minutes that are seen on the National Geographic dvd of Alexander that I would like to see the entire movie. Is there any chance that the producers in India could make this into a dvd and sell it to the public?The scene that is in the National Geographic is of the elephant battle, and I noticed that Nick described it well. It was done without special effects, and I wondered if elephants had been injured in the process. It is a horrific scene, but a most exciting presentation.I liked the synopsis, and found it very romantic. Maybe Partha Bose could arrange for its release again, I hope?

I know that some elephants where killed in the production of Scipio Africanus made in fascist Italy during the 1930's. Although I'm unsure about whether that happened in the Sikander film, its a possibility as animal welfare wasnt really a big issue back then.I've not actually seen the Sikander film but it is one I'd like to. Its a shame that a lot of classics seem to be missed and dont make it to general release.Note to the British Film Institute: Get your finger out and release this film!!!
