Hello,Just a quick question- have been asking myself a couple of days and not got any answer, maybe you can help.Is there, in the Alexander tale, an episode where he tricks the enemy by use of a double? Or am I thinking of a page out of JRR Tolkien's novel?Best regards,
Dean.

Yes - at the Hydaspes. He uses a double to keep Poros guessing, while he himself takes his troops up-river.All the bestMarcus

Cheers Marcus! The scenario of using a double does seem very much like something out of a movie and yet yes, you are right it was the Hydaspes. Have a lovely Christmas!Dean.

Kid's name is Attalos, incidently. :-) (Which I find ironic.)
