Sex and Alexander

Concerning the discussion of sexuality in relation to Alexander and the movie I just want to say I am so glad that people here can talk about it without becoming upset and ugly. I guess sex always comes up because it is an intimate part of who we are. It comes up with Alexander since there is a strong appetite for any info. about him. I would love to talk to him for reasons that have nothing to do with sex. And then, on the other hand, if I am to be honest, I feel attracted to him....unbelievable, foolish, I don't really know this man we talk of so much, yet I think I would spend the night with him.As far as the obsession Americans have with sex, food might be included, I don't know. It is a way to give one's self a break from problems ... put the tension somewhere else. And of course the young and healthy have their horomones. I do think we worry about it too much. There seems to be anxiety with it, as if it can define our strengths and weaknesses. As if it can destroy whole civilizations, and defame an individual in spite of all accomplishments, insights, dreams, and inspirations they can give to other people.
I don't think a movie can destroy Alexander. And I have a feeling that for the ancient soldier if he was fed and lucky to get sex (no matter from where) he was fairly satisfied. He didn't worry about being straight, bi, or gay. He just was.
