Companions hi.Its becoming quite clear that the movie is having enough of an impact to draw in new members and people who want to learn about our Great King.I think its a blessing and refreshing and Im sure o anyone that starts an interest with Alexander its for life and for people of real dedication and inteligence,,, Myself not included.I watched a movie yesterday, With Michael Cane and Sean Connery whos theme was to follow Alexander.I liked the line from Michael Caine when Kiplin said only Alexander had conquered that region,, Cain replied. "If a Greek can do it so can we"For me it was a great movie with humour and the influence of Alexander can be seen throughout the whole film.
RegardsKenny

Hello KennyYou must have seen the film of the Kipling story, "The Man Who Would be King"? I always enjoy watching that film too. As you say, Alexander's influence and his adventurous spirit can be seen throughout.CheersHalil

The story by Kipling is online here:http://etext.library.adelaide.edu.au/au ... ard.htmlIt is an excellent story, and is also a warning to those who try to assume power by false means...Linda

"The Man Who Would Be King" is a fantastic story, and a fantastic film. There are very few things in it that prevent it from being perfect (in my opinion). One of the very few things, unfortunately, is that at one point Sean Connery's character talks about Alexander's journey into northern Sogdiana being mentioned by Herodotus ... but blink and you miss it !All the bestMarcus
