I can image that this is post mostly in use,but
i will try ... what are you think for theory that Cleopatra the sister of Alexander have been executor of burial in the area of Gortiana,Atalanta and Idomene. It is nown that Olimpia have made three tombs for burial. One in Pella, another in Molosia and another on the north. In Molosia have been found suposed tomb-emty and newer used.In Pella is still without success ,and posibly that thomb will be empty.Theory goes that Perdica have made two sarconice personos and that one have gone throught see with Clit the White in Amfiopolis and from there in Pidna.
In Pidna Olimpia have taken the body in Molosia. She kept the body attacking Pella. When she have taken Pella we know that she have left Cleopatra in Molosia and with Rocksana and Alexander 4 she have gone in Pella where have been executed from Cassander. It is possible that Cleopatra have been buried Alexander body in that time in the third thomb on the Great Paeonian graveyards.
So it is teory...I am in agreement with some ...He was god in life, and pharaon, and i cant beleve that will be that easy and straight burial and everything. What is more i think that story about body and wars is more simbolic wiev than what is real event.Even fight for real body havent nothing with Macedonian tradition and religion,or with another adopted be that egiptian or persian. It is alegory more than thruth.

There is no significant possibility that Alexander's body was not entombed in Egypt for at least 500 years. Among the many ancient writers who say so are: Aelian, Arrian, Curtius, Dio Cassius, Diodorus, Herodian, Justin, Libanius, Lucan, Lucian, Pausanius, Pseudo-Callisthenes, Strabo, Suetonius and Zenobius. To my knowledge no ancient writer says otherwise. A clinching piece of independent evidence is the statement in the Parian Marble inscription (dating to 262BC) that Alexander was laid to rest at Memphis in 321BC. It was Ptolemy who was said by Aelian to have made a decoy corpse to deceive Perdiccas rather than vice versa.
Best wishes, Andrew

Thanks for your repply
I have thinked for another possibility.Tomb and burriall ground had to be secret and to be protected.I can image that preparation have been
extensive and that amount of people have been worked on that.Still burial sdhould have been
faster than what have been taken with all wars beetwen dia... so I have been thinking that maybe the most throughtfull to be to trace other events during that time.I belive that if secred burial have been taken place ,one for the public maybe have been teatrical to deceive. So if that event have been secret than what we can find maybe will be some information where some colony or smoll city have been rebelious and that citizen of that place have been slain. It must be justification to protect the tomb.It is posible that in that region have been builded the tomb. That event should be some time afther his dead.
So if somebody know for that event and place afther the dead of Alexandar can please post info here.

Something interesting about tombs: A few years ago when I was researching in Macedonia, I went to Pydna and it happened that the archaeologists I spoke to were searching for the tomb of Olympias there. They said that it would likely be just a temporary tomb and that she would have been later taken for burial to Aigai. The archaeologist I spoke to was the one who discovered the trench that Kassandros had dug around ancient Pydna to blockade Olympias and the others during the seige. I have never heard whether they did find the tomb there and I wonder if anyone else has information about this? ruthaki
