There is a new research by Indian scholars that Porus was not defeated by Alexander but there was a compromise between Alexander and Porus .That Alexander will return his kingdom and Porus will support him in other invades

Not so new. The idea was put forward by a man named Buddha Prakash (professor of history at Kurukshetra University) in the 1970's. His book was not available for some time, but his ideas were picked up in Pakistan, where a member of parliament named Aitzaz Ashan made sure that the book was republished in 1994. It is called *Poros the Great*, no ISBN published by Gautam in Lahore. The first third of the book contains an (i.m.o.) excellent summary of the Indian sources relating to the Puru clan. In the remainder, he treats Firdausi as a source of greater importance than the traditional sources. Which is, in my view, unacceptable.Interestingly, the modern museum of Lahore had a fine map of Alexander's eastern campaigns, which shows the area of Pakistan as largely independent.Although I have some reservations about Prakash's book, I think it is a reminder that we cannot study Alexander without studying the Egyptian, Babylonian, Persian, and Indian sources.Jona

Not that I know of, at least not in the book by Prakash. He critically reexamines old evidence. In my opinion, the important aspect is that he has shown that Porus could claim to restore an older kingdom and had some justification when he launched the wars that made Omphis ask for Alexander's help.Jona

I believe that there is a movie script on this website with information that makes it appear that Roxanne is the real heroine in the battle between King Porus and Alexander.
