Can anyone give me a list of rebellions or revolts within Alexander's Empire during his life time? Starting with the first revolt of Thebes and on?Thanks!
Off the top of my head; Thessally Thebes and Athens; Illyria, Triballi, Thebes; Agis of Sparta; Sogdia/Ariobarzanes; Musicanus and Taxiles (in India); Brahmins; Cossaeans. Plus the army mutinies at Hyphasis and Opis.
When you think about, it free-choice is the only possible option.
