Did Alexander keep a journal?

Hello all,I was just curious to know if any ancient sources
have ever mentioned or hinted that ATG kept a
personal journal or diary? Thanks in advance for
nay help...--karla

He did not keep it Eumenes did and it was lost all that survives points to late forgery or a prosaic recital of sacrifices and official functions. It was never the blow by blow account imagined by Hammond.

Eumenes was the official 'court reporter' but it's said the official documents were destroyed by Kassandros. Ptolemy wrote a journal but later in life. And there were a couple of others but none that survived.

We do know that Alexander kept in regular postal contact with his mother and sister, amongst others, so he may have shared personal thoughts with them - but nothing has survived that we know of.regards,Kit
