Reading the "Parallel lives" by Plutarch I found in the text where it is about Demosthenes the famous orator in Athen, that he was met by the persian intelligence because of his influence over the greeks by that time, and they asked him to keep his speeches against Macedonia in order to maintain them busied, so having no time and mood to come to Asia.According to Plutarch Demosthenes used to receive considerable money from Persia in payment for his eloquent influence against the Great King.I thought it would be good for my friends here to share this information.Best wishes!

As there was rumoured to be Persian money behind Philip's assassination this is no surprise. ruth

I often wondered why our persian friends don't comment on that one?
