one more thing, it has been bugging me for some time. There is no S or C in Boukephalus. Head is Kefali in Greek and I believe always has been. Sephalus does'nt mean anything. Now I have vent my splean.Don't wake me again. I am tired, so tired.

I appreciate you! sometimes you have value, not often but, your learning.
Can't help you, there's nothing I can do for you! Your definition of constructive is totally different than mine. Susan Holmes once said how difficult it must have been for Alexander to try and keep all the different cultures from being at odds or something to that effect, how right she was.
Modern JhelumVoukephala (now Djemoul). Bucephala (Bucephalus, Bucephales or Boukephalus). I purposely use the spelling beausefaless (pronounced bowsefaluss), Bocephus (Hank Williams Jr.), all sounds good to me, and that's all that matters, anyhow, those common names are always taken for passwords and whatever. Thanks for the spelling correction. I'm happy you changed your mind about the, " I wash my hands of you", meaning me. I believe what you're doing will prove absolutely nothing, some college KIDS acquire so much smarts they end up stupid. Continue to vent your frustration, that's good, not good to keep it bundled inside. You can whine all you want but eventually you'll get over it. I wish the best to you and your family and I hope you all have the greatest of holidays, take care!

well guys I jast watched gaugamella on time commanders and it really was a let down.It did not mention the persians 200 sythed chariots and thay had darius seated on a horse as he was actually behind the infantry in his royal chariot.Alexander did real off to left as to draw his Phalanx away from the fairway the Persians had prepared for there chariots.Did anyone else see it and what did you think?regards Alexes desciple

I saw it, and enjoyed the final explanation of the actual battle was won. I am sure it is basic but it helped me visualise it. However, the "time commanders" bit I couldn't really understand. I don't see how the Macedonians could be said to have won when Alexander had been killed..

I suspect a lot of it was limited by the computer program. Did you notice how suspiciously like hoplites the macedonian phalangites looked!? Big shields!
Still, I suppose I could see the macedonians retaining their discipline if Alexander had fallen in battle. The rout of the persians when Darius fell would also have been likely!

No doubt about it, if ATG went down...the Macedonians just got up and hit em' harder! As evidenced by the spanking delivered to the Mallians at Multan. later Nicator
