Hi Dimirios,Thank you so much for your try, but I'm still not convinced. Everywhere we can find a CLEAR definition for the word "philhellene" (which is a FRIEND of the Greeks). I don't want to enter into any "play with words" because this will become a game without an end. I'm open to listen anyone's explanations and although I don't want to reject any possibility, I still believe that we are talking about two separate and distinct ancient people. And let us respect them for what they were. With all my respect for your personal aims, please can we cut this greek-macedonian debate? Thanks and best regards,

Hi Kit,Thank you and although I don't want to get into the Greek-Macedonian debate, this is really too much. We must stop this kind of debate because I find it a little boring and contraproductive. RegardsPoli

Hi Poli,I particularly liked the "your personal aims" part of your previous message :-). It was, hot to put it, bitter!Although I cannot but agree with you on the need to stop this Greek-Fyrom debate in the forum, I don't recall hearing you make any similar requests to Vasko who's raving all this time on the matter but from a different angle, did you? Regards,

Hi Yiannis,I would like to refer to this part of your message: "...Although I cannot but agree with you on the need to stop this Greek-Macedonian debate in the forum, I don't recall hearing you make any similar requests to Vasko who's raving all this time on the matter but from a different angle, did you?.."Well, I always try to "convey my request" to the person who started the debate and in this case, that person was Demetrios .... although he gave that other name, too (maybe his typing-mistake). And I'm surprised how you don't recall hearing my request to Vasko in other postings (if you're not convinced you can still search the Forum). But, at least we agree on the need to stop this debate. :-)
Regards to you, too

I will abide by your request to stop this debate.Yes I misspelled the named Dimitrios.I posted on this board to counter some of the earlier statements made by VAS.Having ancestry from Macedonia ( Thessaloniki -not immigrants from Anatolia like Vas claims compose most of northern Greece) I find some of the false info needs to be addressed.Greek Macedonians do have every right to see that their ancestors are portrayed correctly in the upcomming movie so my posts were revelvent to the topic and backed up with facts. I used the name Dimitrios Poliorketes because he was a Macedonian King.I am surprised no one picked up on this. For the record I have nothing against FYROM or Slavs from that region. What I object to is the propaganda about Greeks that some promote. Since it is the wish of this board not to continue the topic I will abide by it and cease posting.
