Wanna know a REALISTIC fight scene, complete with the rights sounds of flesh versus weapon?
Gangs of New York- just about as nasty as real fights get

Ah well - I probably need to see it more often. However, at Guagamela, he wasn't at the stage of having no more world's to conquer - he still had to get Darius. He probably did feel bad for his dead men, but not the despair that crying scene implied. Of course, it is Stone's vision, and of course, it is poetic licence - but I thought it just more William MacGonagall than Milton.I don't say that crying is unmanly - I never say that. Just that it was out of character at that time, I thought, and also that Alexander didn't really seem to enjoy his victory (apart from the ridiculous harem scene).

Nax hailfunny you mention the Gangs,,, i saw that great movie and for eons Ive argued the case for Dicaprio as Alexander.I never liked him at all kut theres just something that tells me he would nail Alexander,, His performance in the Gangs and the mature performance inn the aviator omly makes my feelings even stronger for Leo as Alexander.Kenny

Sorry, Kenny. I don't think we'll be seeing Leo as Alexander. This is from the "Ain't it cool" site: "Trusty news source Lennox has let us know that Baz Luhrmann is *still* planning to make his ALEXANDER THE GREAT picture, despite Leo opting out."
