That's really interesting. Thank you.
I went to VErgina in 2019 and absolutely loved it (of course). It's amazing how they are able to reconstruct the painting so brilliantly.

Thank you for this, system1988.
I am not sure about some of these interpretations, they seem a little off. This one of Alexander looks a bit too much like Napoleon!
I thought this one was wearing a diadem, but it seems to be a hat.
This one is impressive though.

I like the ''Napoleon !!!"
anyway is a really interesting article , but very difficult to tranlate because of the technical terms.I will try to translate the ''substance' of it .They all made a great job , and we have the real colors and some details unknown in the past to us . Great job

Thanks. The site translates itself into English. I found it a little too technical about the colours.system1988 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 29, 2025 6:34 pm I like the ''Napoleon !!!"anyway is a really interesting article , but very difficult to tranlate because of the technical terms.I will try to translate the ''substance' of it .They all made a great job , and we have the real colors and some details unknown in the past to us . Very interesting study! I found 'Alexander' very similar indeed to the Alexander of the Pompei's mosaic: the same nose, the same large eye, but obviously younger!
