I don't know about a prayer of Opis but I have a t-shirt with the speech made at Opis written in Greek.

Arrian VII 11 ix. This is NOT aprayer for the unity of mankind.
When you think about, it free-choice is the only possible option.

Wow! That is wonderful. I would love to see it sometime. I did find mention of it in Tarn on pp.116-117 in the book published in 1948. Thanks, Ruthaki. :-)

Thanks, Karl. I found this prayer as a cover on the Yahoo group site. That is why I asked, and later, I did find a reference to it in the book by Tarn. Somehow I did not feel that the statement on the Yahoo group made sense, but maybe I am wrong. Maybe it is as he said it. It just doesn't sound right to me. And I wondered if anyone had any knowledge of it. Thanks so much.Jan
