Book on the races of Macedonia (some on Alexander etc.)

Post by Atanas »

Hi All, I would like to share some snippets of a real gem that has appeared on this site.It seems it was the English infatuation with Alexander that steered events.http://www.maknews.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 3MACEDONIA: ITS RACES AND THEIR FUTURE

This is not on the ancient macedonians

Post by bob »

This is not about the ancient macedonians, the books topic is the forbidden topic.
BTY, I finally understand why we have this rule, I recently had to block email from someone harrassing me on the issue. Thus, I ain't even goin to touch the ancient people's origins, because it leads to too many people cussing me out and harrassing me. I agree, this needs to remain a forum where people can learn about Alexander away from such issues. Sincerely, Bob

Lets see you use the name Athanasios to post studies from objective FYROM sites that use scientificly rejected genetic studies and a 1905 text book on modern Macedonia unrelated to ATG. The only interest you seem to have is the modern political situation.

If you don't like my name blame the Greek church they insisted on only Greek names. If the name bothers you that much, I can sign on as Archie, then you can be Jughead ;-))

If you don't like my name blame the Greek church they insisted on only Greek names. If thats your name thats how you should sign on.Why be ashamed. From what I understand the Greek Church usually encourages male names to be named after Grandfathers.Did you have a GrandDaddy named Athanasios? Perhaps thats why your so intrested in male linages. Anyhow this board is about Alexander the Great and we are talking about 325 BC.The book your refering was written in 1905 and so it is over 2230 yrs removed. Obviously the 1905 book brings up the forbidden topic of the modern Greek/Skopian debate. So in respect for others on the board that wish to discuss ATG the modern debate and threads relating to it should be avoided.
