RogueClassicism has included a couple of links to spurious stories about Alexander - including one that credits him with erecting the Bamian Buddhas! The third link is to a nice Roman anachronism ...http://www.saanichnews.com/portals-code ... lATBMarcus

Thanks, Marcus, I especially enjoyed the link to the story on Winston Churchill. I had just been browsing the bookshelves in the biography section on Winston Churchill. So this article is quite timely. Thanks! The date seems to be rather pertinent as (hoping this isn't some kind of trap) this is the same date as my friend Lois's (who told me the line about "a friend in need being a pest") birthday. I've been studying the connection of Churchill to the Marlborough family. Sure funny how Winston has found his way to me twice this day. I appreciate it very much.
