You misunderstood what I wrote. Alexander continued to drink despite his illness as Aristobulos relates, even though he said it made Alexander wildly delirious. These are not the actions of someone who is going to go on living if you know what I mean...

Yes but there are other occassions too in which Alexander did not follow the doctor's orders.Like when he was heavily injured and he rode a horse in order for his men to see him that he is alive.Ans generally he was stubborn,if he wanted to do something he would do it imnspite of the doctors' orders.Like drinking.

Hi Andrew,I remember that programme - this was the retired policeman, I think, was it not?The theory was an interesting one. It was a bit of a shame that other theories were too easily 'dismissed', seemingly without proper examination; but ultimately it doesn't stop their theory being as worthy of interest as the others (irrespective of whether you believe it likely - after all, nobody at all can say for sure, so why not adhere to one theory over another!)ATBMarcus

in my opinion, aleksander should not have followed the greeks in anything. all the greeks did is manipulate his mind so that they could enhance power. i also believe that the macedonians do not get enough recognition about alexander being macedonian. i know i am being biased, but what i am stating is true. and i believe he was poisoned by one of the damn greeks.
