Errors
I find your account of the battle of Ipsus extremely lacking. Antigonus was not 80 in 301 BC but more probably 81. Ipsus is not in upper Phrygia, but in lower. Plutarch's account can only be supplemented by Diodorus 21, not completely rewritten. Billow's Antigonus Monophthalmus and the Creation of the Hellenistic State is not even mentioned in your bibliography. Lastly, your use of "mleko" and the bit with the orange exercise ball does not convince.
Re: Errors
Personally, I think that Alexander's contribution to the flowering of Anatolian art is exaggerated as well.HM

Re: Errors
This clearly shows how tragic the death of Marcus Aurelius in fact is. He was almost ready to spread civilization to the north, when he died, and his son Commodus abandoned the Germanic campaigns.Laura
Re: Errors
Although the policies of Marcus Aurelius, if allowed to continue, may well have accelerated the imperial 'overstretch' and hastened the collapse of the empire. Maybe Commodus' more pragmatic approach (ironically) preserved Roman civilization and gave it a stay of execution? Also, who said that further northward expansion of Roman civilization was a 'good' thing!? The Germanic peoples may well have disagreed!P.S- sorry for the diversion, I realise this is not very Alexander related.ATBKit.

Northward expansion
Well, my point was that if Alexander had kept going north, the fabulous babes of the Czech republic might have been discoverd sooner. What I find funny is that that entry appears to be "real." I did a Google search. It's not like somebody has been pasting that phrase on hundreds of sites. Mostly URLs are posted like that in order to increase the "page rank" of a website. But that requires a link, and a link requires a http://http:. Also, there are a lot of places to post a link that don't require registration. It strikes me the link-spammer is either a fool or a devotee of Alexander.
