Roger Ebert just named his Worst Movie of 2004...

...And it's a tie! He named both Alexander and Troy as the worst movies of 2004, saying Troy was the better of the two.You should have seen his list for what he thought was BETTER than these two movies!! Two of them being 'White Chicks' and 'Christmas with the Cranks'!Thanks a pant load, Rog, I just lost all respect for you as a reviewer! Here's a link to what Ebert & Roeper originally said about Alexander. Yes, A safe easy target for a vacant loser!
The only question I'd ask him is if they were so bad why have they made money? Alexander will turn a profit after the DVD and rentals hit the balance sheet.
If you want to see an awful big budget film - take a look at The Day After Tommorow. I endured this laughable flick on a flight from Turkey in Ocotober..it made a four flight seem like six.

Thats no big surprise coming from Ebert. He does not like historical epics to begin with. I figured Alexander and Troy would be on his list somewhere.I remembered after the Oscars in 2001, he called Gladiator the worst movie ever to win Best Picture. That kind of sealed it for me right there. Dara

Here we Go again with Critics,, Really how valid are these high minded bum talkers,,, Ok the films were not brilliant but at the same tome nor were they the worse.van Helsin is one movie that wow sorse and there were many more,,, Cronicles of Ridick I went to see and that was utter tosh in my opinion anyway we all have opinions and to be honest I begin to agree with most opf Sikanders points,,, With due respect it was nit picking and I agree,,, But there are far worse movies out there.Troy in my opinion was an entertaining movie,,, regardless of the critisism it gets and to be honest i go to the cinema for entertainment and would rather gosee a crazy movie that was entertaining than a borring movie the critics had praised to the heavens. With regard to Sikander,,, I believe Stone got lost and really didnt know what to do with the story maybe he was too connected and tried to get as much as what he knows into the movie, basically he tripped over himself,, But as soe of us say we liked it,,, Im sure we will all agree that we saw all Sikanders faults but just madee the most of what we got.regardsKenny

There are a lot of inside jokes going on here! When I lived in California, I had a professor name of Louis King, and in Azusa, I am pretty famous for being God in my classroom, and Louis King once said to the school district at a public meeting that anyone who loves everyone is the worst! God loves everyone, and I am accepted that way in that neighborhood, believe it or not, and so it is a kind of local joke which is now national too! So to be the worst is not really the worst thing that can happen to you! After all, God is the worst! according to Louis King, who knows who I am also, as I sat in his class while he did all the work so I would just get a B for being there! Take it easy, folks! I told you already this is a joke on me!

PS: Thanks for the link. I enjoyed hearing the elephants charge again, and all the other sound effects! I liked the review! Had to laugh as I have already explained why. Just as everyone likes Mr. Blackwell's Worst Dressed list, people like worst movie lists too! I agree with Roger and have to respect him now!

Thank Heaven I only saw Troy and Alexander. In all probability neither are really that bad, but exaggeration is a mainstay of Hollywood just to sell pictures! Looks a bit like AT&T to me!
