Happy Christmas from the Haemon mountains

Post by susan »

Happy Christmas ! For those of you who remember my son James - he's spending Christmas Day in a snow-bound 10th century monastery in the Haemon Mountains in Bulgaria, near where Alexander & Philip campaigned. Last night he toasted Alexander's memory in monastery-brewed moonshine.(here's pictures of the monastery :http://www.orthodoxinfo.com/images/bulg ... trance.jpg
)Maybe today we should all drink a toast to Alexander's memory, wherever we are.Susan

My "toast in reply" is to all of you. I've been around in pothos for half a year or so, and visiting it has become a pleasant and almost daily routine. Thanks for your friendship!Jona
