Tonight's lunar eclipse

Post by jona »

In the night of Wednesday/Thursday, there will be a lunar eclipse. More information at http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6345294/ . If go out and watch, you will see the same phenomenon as the soldiers of Alexander and Darius III on 20 September 331 BCE. Especially when the eclipse has a red color (which depends on atmospherical conditions), the sight can be awe-inspiring, and you will understand why DariusGÇÖ soldiers run away.For those interested in the exact interpretation of tonightGÇÖs eclipse, according to the teachings of the ancient Babylonian astronomers ("Chaldaeans"), here it is:it is a lunar eclipse, therefore, a leader will lose his power within 100 days;the shaduw starts in the northwest, meaning imminent danger for a leader from the west; this is also predicted by the fact that we are now living in the seventh month of the Babylonian calendar;the planet Jupiter is invisible, meaning that the omen will strike the highest leader (otherwise, it would have been his second in command);the planet Saturn is visible (immediately south of the Twins), meaning that the strength of the omen is worse.Jona

Jona, this is great news!"it is a lunar eclipse, therefore, a leader will lose his power within 100 days; the shadow starts in the northwest, meaning imminent danger for a leader from the west; the omen will strike the highest leader"So, this means that we can all be confident that Bush jr. will fail at the November 2nd elections? I am so happy for Kerry! My heart is filled with joy.If the omen doesn't apply to Bush jr., then I surely hope that it applies to our Dutch minister-president Balkenende.(For those not familiar with our Dutch minister-president Balkenende: imagine Harry Potter turned 48.)So let's see if the Babylonians are just as right now as they were in 331 BC.Regards ---Nick

Hello Jona, Janet and all,
Thank you for the interesting info on the lunar
eclips. It'll be visible up here in the North too. We
have no elections until 2006 but I hope it's a
Good Omen for us too. Hope for the best in the
November elections
Best wishes,
Ann-Katrin

I can only hope that this does spell the political demise of Dubya!!I just finished reading the book "Bush on the Couch" by Dr. Justin Frank, who writes about the absolutely *FRIGHTENING* psychological (some would say psychotic) state of Bush's mind, and maintains that the man is the most ill-suited person ever to attain (or illegally seize, as he writes) the position.I truly feel sorry for the American people if this man steals the White House again. It won't just effect them, but the rest of the world as well. I've heard whispers that even Tony Blair secretly wants Kerry to win, as this would help Blair smooth the way to finding a successful exit strategy from Iraq.It's interesting that we can draw a parallel from the ancient lunar eclipse to what's happening now.
Kerry = Alexander!Jay

I want to believe and apply the Babylonian theory to my country's election next week.I want to hope for us that change will occur.I know what is at stake for us Americans, and the global community.I am growing tired of the rhetoric and false promises.May the cosmic forces roll the dice and give us prosperity and peace....but I'm pessimistic. Of course you're right, but I thought the other Nick's joke was funny - although I admit that it helps if you have seen Mr. Balkenende. Comparing him to a real leader like Darius III could have been a Monty Python sketch.

Well, the point was that Nick W seemed to be proof positive of simultaenous thoughts as I was thinking exactly what I found in writing...dumbfounded me...but I suspect now it may refer to Arafat! He is going to Paris to help recuperate from his illness.And No, I do not think that Kerry equals Alexander, as he looks like the Pharoah in Andrew LLoyd Weber's Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Coat! The hair! :-)! Kerry and Elvis? I thought it was Clinton and Elvis!

Hi Nick ---Seriously --- I always thought the essense of Greek democracy was the freedom to state and share political views. Am I incorrect? I mean, I can hardly imagine Demosthenes backing statements like: "Political views are best kept to oneself."If I have gone astray here, please correct me.Regards ---Nick

Hi Dr. Vasco,I think the transformation to a better world started about 18 months ago when I saw with my own eyes, Colin Powell greet Yasser Arafat with a KISS.

Hi Nick,First off, this is not Greek democracy. It is a forum on Alexander the Great. Secondly, when did you start to care about the Greeks anyway? You...the guy that has the really well done web page on the Persian empire? I'd be willing to bet you know a lot less about Athenian Democracy that you do about Persian Despotism...am I right? Third and finally...Hateful political views concerning modern leaders have no place on this forum. So, I repeat, they should be kept to oneself. "Seriously --- I always thought the essense of Greek democracy was the freedom to state and share political views. Am I incorrect? I mean, I can hardly imagine Demosthenes backing statements like: "Political views are best kept to oneself."If I have gone astray here, please correct me."...would it do any good?
