A question for Archaeologists!
In the field of archaeology, does a period known as the 'Homeric Period' exist - My understanding is that Homer who as a poet wrote perhaps during the 'Bronze Age' archaeologically spaeaking, and that no such period i.e 'Homeric Period' is refered too amongst archaeologists.I may be wrong in what I say, and in the event I am, what does 'Homeric Period refer too?thanks in advance.

Archaeologists should refer to Late Hellenic IIIc if they mean the Mycenaean age since thatt period is dated according to pottery styles and the early Iron Age or the Darh Ages if referring to Homer's own time 800ish BC.
When you think about, it free-choice is the only possible option.
