I really enjoyed this glimpse into the Palace at Babylon. Let me suggest that each picture be hit so that the enlargement tool appears. The copy can be read easily that way. I was profoundly touched by Colin's remarks about Oliver Stone.

Great pics, Thanks! It is Darius' Palace in Persepolis, as you know Alexander burnt this Great Palace. Persepolis is still the most beautiful palace in Iran, We have also a hotel like Persepolis in Kish:http://mojtaba.proboards7.com/index.cgi ... 1076760670

Re: movie - alexander's palace
I really, really want to like this movie. I'm hoping it will be a huge success and prompt some of the audience to study the real Alexander - a definite possibility given that I just read a news item from Australia where a documentary on Alexander beat out their two biggest reality shows in the ratings. The problem is, I can't help nit-picking every time I see a new production still. I'm trying to be reasonable - this is a fictionalized Hollywood account of Alexander's life after all - but the photo on this site of "Alexander" wearing long hair, a gauze shirt open to the waist, and baggy linen trousers is just too much. He looks like a refugee from the movie Hair! Ah well, I wonder what other treats will be in store for us?Regards,Linda Ann
