Pella: the palace.

Post by ruthaki »

From what research I've done I know that the palace was approximately 60,000 sq. meters in size. I have seen the 'mound' where it was located but at that time the digs were just beginning. I'm heading up there again next month. Has anyone here actually seen the site? I have tried to 'imagine' exactly what it consisted of -- probably gardens and guest houses as well as the palace buildings -- but who has some ideas of what the structure was like etc.
