Alexander IV
The face (in the inset at the top of the page) looks like a youth but the body of the statue is certainly not that of a 12 year old. As he was murdered at age 13/14 I doubt he was that developed. HOwever, the artist may have just used a model for it to represent Alexander IV. To me, he looks more like Alexander himself.

Being the bones were from cremation there is little hope any dna is left behind. I believe from what I have learned from Egyptian mummies and using dna to identify them, that it's the marrow or tissue that carries the dna, not the actual bones themselves.

I agree the statue seems more mature than Alexander IV's age, but maybe as you say it could be the way the artist wanted to portray him. I am not positive, but has the statue been dated? I thought that it had.
So many mysteries that will never be solved.

I long for wealth, but to win it by wrongful means I have no desire. Justice, though slow, is sure.
