I know this is a dead thread but...

Can I just say that the Oliver Stone film (which I finally managed to get round to watching) was the worst film I have ever seen.I almost never stop watching a film and neither does my wife, but we gave up half way through. Why is it so hard to make a good film about Alexander?

Problems fixed!

I have fixed the loggin in. My fault. Someone asked me to remove their login ID and I forgot to check that it worked. I had inadvertantly deleted all the users and have restored from a backup.I have also moved 10,000(!) posts to the forum archive. There are a mere 1,000 in the current forum and you ...

Re: pothos.co.uk - does anyone use it (as opposed to pothos.

Judging by the lack of response, I am going to let pothos.co.uk die.

Re: pothos.co.uk - does anyone use it (as opposed to pothos.

Yes, that one I do not control and works fine - it is a pointer to the same web site and I asked people to use it during the pothos.co.uk debacle a year ago.

pothos.co.uk - does anyone use it (as opposed to pothos.org)

It is a year since the debacle of pothos.co.uk being de-registered, and pothos.org taking over as the domain for this site. pothos.co.uk is now up for renewal - it will cost -ú15 for two years. I am not planning to renew the domain and we will stick with pothos.org for the site. If anyone feels stro...

Re: to thomas re: attached files

I know you have now managed to contact me at webmaster{a}pothos.org, but I am not sure why the other address did not work. It should have.

AndrewI don't mind criticism - it was the TONE.Reasonable comments and suggestions are always more appropriate and more likely to be listened to.I'm glad you enjoy the forum - I just hope that a new site will be better and give you even more...Thomas

Re: to thomas re: attached files

It is not possible in this forum I am afraid. But if you email it to me I can post it on the site and you could put a link in your post (or you could stick it elsewhere on the internet and put a link).

Re: Are you too old and too tired?

Hey - I might be too old and tired. Who knows? And I am certainly no expert on ATG compared to many people who frequent the forum. I leave ATG answers to them. You are right that I do participate infrequently though. There are many reasons for this which I will not go in to now. If people need to con...

READ THIS: pothos - the next generation site...

There seems to be confusion about the link I posted last night. Let me be clear: We are NOT going to move to that site any day soon!Clear enough? But I thought we had a community here! I want to involve you in how the new site shapes up. The important thing with "pothos2005" as I am thinkin...

Re: pothos - the next generation site...

Jay, the idea is to get opinion about what to do with a new site in the new site's forum. This is so early in the development phase I am hopeful that pothosites will be able to greatly influence how it looks, feels and what it can do.But I will only discuss it in the new forum. That is the future.

Re: pothos - the next generation site...

Yes, it is EARLY days - the thing is generic and has been there for less than 24 hours. The colours will, of course, be orange and blue. There will be many weeks/months of tweaking, development (and discussion in the one board on the site) before we move over.

Re: pothos - the next generation site...

beausefaless - did you read what the home page says? This is VERY early development and I am asking for ideas for the future, not telling you we will cut over right away. It is green for goodness sake!
