I did see the Persopolis programme - amazing that those reliefs would have been gilded and painted. I like them the way they are now - minimalist. All those Scythians, Medians and Egyptians, still proudly carrying their gifts to the long dead Great King.I can't remember what Dan said about Alexander...

Exactly - it is fascinating to imagine how people actually walked and talked, and what they ate..I don't think asking the word for penis is wrong..If someone knows, I will be impressed!

Sorry - the interiors looked as if they were shot in Vegas, and the exteriors gave hardly any indication of the amazing places Alexander passed through. One scene with mountains was great.
