Rare, but observable...
David Bowie has it. As does a young lad I keep chasing off my school grounds because he uses it like a public footpath.

Time Commanders
I have seen that program and would love to know what the software is and what you need to play it. I am not a "gamer" but would love to have a go at some of these battles. I never managed to see any Alexander battles but it is great fun watching the people make a complete hash of it. It al...

Three years after the toppling of Saddam, this is the bloody mess Iraq has become And the BBC is about to do a piece on the de...

Re: Muslims and churches
As a total agnostic who knows little about a lot of religions (no offense), I was just going on what was reported to me by James. I agree that Nebi Daniel is probably not a Church! (DOH! Apologies)I have visited temples, churches, synagogues and, of course, mosques in my time. Not sure about the cle...

Re: Pothos offerings at Alexandria
Yes, it is awful, because it implies lack of respect. I am normally so careful and aware of these things, but sometimes you get flustered in a new place and forget...Also, it is not the last carriage in Istanbul (I *think* it was there, can't be sure) - it was the second or something.

Re: Pothos offerings at Alexandria
I have travelled pretty widely - 45ish coutries, and *nothing* disappointed me like Alexandria. The site of Alexanders tomb is just a busy crossroads with no memorial, no indication at all that the tomb might have been close. I think that the actual site is a bank opposite the famous mosque.Alexandr...
