Message:Hi Karen,I think these homoerotic scenes are weeder scenes to make sure the actors can act. What can be more difficult than pretending to be homosexual if you are hetero?" How about pretending to be good actors?

Everything happens for a reason?
Alexander was amazing, we all know that. But maybe him dying at that age was the best thing that could happen, not only for himself but for history in general. For example, rumor has it that he was planning on conquering the west. Though he is my favorite person in history, I can't help but imagine ...

Re: Salma Hayek as Amazon Queen
That just knocked me right off my ass...Angelina Jolie as Olympias??? how odd...she's so young. Not that makeup won't do wonders, but she's so young..well 28. She's a beauty, and she's a great actress, though never in my life did I imagine that hapenning. The Colin Farrell film is looking a better a...

Getting a little tired of the homophobia....
With the two Alexander movies (though both have the prospect of failure) what annoys me the most is that for some reason both Leonardo and Colin are considered "brave" and "daring" because they are going to play a "gay" icon. Now, we all know that the word "gay&quo...

huh?
Hey all!I heard two bits of either myth or history, depending on your point of view, that I never could check for sure. To be honest, I don't know if I heard it, or read it, so I can't note a source. But, I heard/read that Alexander was left handed. Is there anything that states that for sure? Anoth...

Re: Alexander in Exile
I doubt that Alexander even slept well, considering the threat of his father being not so "welcoming" to him, and the whole threat of possible rivals to the throne, possibly even assassination. As for Alexander training, I have no doubt on that. Alexander never really sat idle, and he must...

Re: The map of his empire?
Hey all!Well, I'm pretty sure that Alexander would have had some idea of where to go, either by means of a map (most likely) though probably not 100% accurate, or by means of travelers. Michael Wood seems to believe that Alexander did have access to maps of the Persian Empire. But one must also reme...

Re: Alexand**'s name?
Okay, you all must have watched In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great. There's a greek song there these guys at a pub sing along to, and in that song (granted it's more Macedonia then anything) I could have sworn that they say "Alexandre" so what's that all about?

Re: How can we...
I'll see what I can find on it, and how they created it. We might be able to do something like that, for how long I don't know...but it might require everything from advertisements in say for example the Archaelogy magazine and others to call people up. Anyone else with more ideas and infos?Luc

Well, the one thing I'll say is that he did incredibly well in The Man in the Iron Mask, portraying two strikingly different people. But I don't think he has the look.
