Is history REALLY sure Alexander was buried in Egypt ?

Just how correct is history when it says that Alexander was buried in Egypt ? Firstly, it supposedly took 2 years to begin moving his (supposedly embalmed) remains. Secondly, it supposedly took 2 years for Ptolemy to make his move to steal them. Thirdly, supposedly, nothing was ever done about that....
