Re: Macedonian victories against romans…
Hello Paralus!! So good to hear from you! I dont think think you remember me but I posted a few posts many years ago. Sorry for not responding to you reply, I have not been very active here. Say, I had a question about Magnesia, that battle bothers me much. 1. What went wrong there? What should Anti...

Alexander at Cannae?!
I watched a documentary on Hannibal vs Rome at Cannae. An absolute perfect victory there. What tactics would Alexander use if we timeswapped him? If memory serves me right (I could be deadwrong here) Hannibal knew a lot of his forces were not on par with the roman legionnaires, thus he had to device...

I am so saddened to hear this.
I know I had wonderful correspondence with them in my past threads many years ago. I guess they now have all the answers to everything they ever wanted to know about Alexander, now that they entered the heavenly realm

Macedonian victories against romans…
So, I’ve recently been delving into the world of roman intervention in the greek world, and all the conflicts/battles that accompanied it. I know of the disastrous macedonian defeats like Cynoscephalae, Pydna, Magnesia etc. Could someone please provide battles the macedonians/Seleucids/etc actually ...

Re: Netflix’s Alexander..
It was absolutely atrocious that they had him wear a Pharao’s hat during the battle of Gaugamela. Beyond insane.

Netflix’s Alexander..
Ok, so I watched the whole of the Netflix series on Alex and I’m shocked. Absolutely disastrous turdshow. Anyone seen it? He wore basically the same armour throughout the series 😂 And they didnt get anything right with regard to his army, uniforms, tactics, formations. Where were the famous sarrisas...

Re: Battle of the Hydaspes
Thanks for your answer! I just find it strange that they seem obsessed with denying Alexander’s victory or even Porus’s existence!! They always dwell on the absence of any mention of the battle in indian sources. That seems to be their triumphant card, well at least in their own view. Again, they sa...

Battle of the Hydaspes
Ok, so I watched a few Alexander documentaries on youtube, but my mood quickly soured upon viewing the other videos made by conspiracy theorists people living in India. These people will not let up! They fervently propose that not only did Alexander lose against Porus, but Porus also never existed!!...

Re: Conquest of Italy alternate history
Thanks Alexias!
But there was another article on my mind. It was a fictional account of how Ptolemy made terms with the romans to not advance any further than south of Italy or something like that..
Do you know of that one? I am looking for it.
Rob

Conquest of Italy alternate history
Hey
Just wanted to know if someone has the link to the article about how if Ptolemy reached Italy, he would have come to an agreement with Rome and split Italy in two. Interesting fiction, but I can't seem to find it..
