Meaning of Greek names

AgesilaosIs there a misspelling in IOALAS? Could it be IOLAOS?

Hi CompanionsI found another interesting one: Aristander/Aristandros (Alex's "official" seer/wizard), which should mean "the best man".
This is really cool! I cannot stop now! I need to know more. What about Demosthenes, Amyntas/Amyntor, Parmenion, Philotas, Perdikkas, Eumenes, Demetrios, etc, etc.

I have also seen it as Iollas, he was Kassander's brother the cupbearer to Alexander in Babylon.
When you think about, it free-choice is the only possible option.

Tele (from a distance) + Machi (Battle)
Like telephone (phoni = voice)
Telegraf (grafi = script) etc...

Iolaos: "ios" (=arrow) and "laos" (=people) = weapon or arrow or strength of the people.
