Diogenes of Sinope

Post by Nicator »

Hello fellow pothosians,In reference to the story of Diogenes where Alexander visited him and asked him something like "what can I do for you?" Diogenes replied get out of my light (from inside his barrel).Does anyone know where this story is found?

HI!Marcus as always is right. I can only give you exact place of it in Plutarch's book: It's in chapter number 14 .
Also Arrian wrote about it and it was almost the same story. In Arrian's Anabasis You can find this dialogue in book VII chapter 2.
