Childbirth

Post by jona »

Nick asked what Plutarch said about Darius's wife's presumed death in childbirth. The expression Plutarch uses is "en +¦disi", which means "pangs of childbirth". The dictionary of Liddel and Scott gives no other variants; the entire lemma is devoted to childbirth & pain.Jona
