Alexander the Great. We don't know his tomb. But for your thought, what objects do you think are buried with him?

Without looking it up, I think he had the (alleged) shield of Achilles that he took from Troy, which I think Augustus (or one of the Emperors, maybe Nero) took. Presumably he would also have had a spear and sword, maybe his armour and a gold wreath on his head. These would maybe have been in the glass coffin with him. In the room around him there may well have been the sort of gold, silver and ivory objcets found at Vergina but on a grander scale.

I hypothesize that the items that accompanied him were for sure his weapons, most probably those taken from the sacred city of Ilion ,golden wreaths of magnificent art ,and jewelry not just greek but also Persian and Indian ,testimonies of the countries he had conquered .The burian cloths must have been greek arrived from Macedonia all regulated by his mother Olympias
Two years on the road ,in any case the corpse headed to Aegai
This was the initial arrangement.Later on the Ptolemies , may have added some decorative symbol of their dynasty near the body or inside the coffin

Helmet, armor, cuirass, sheaves, victory wreath, his favorite book, braided mane hair from Bucephalus, gold coins, maps, and veils from marriage rites.
