How did Bagoas (Alexander's lover) die?

Post by Hypaspist »

Does anyone know how Bagoas died? When I speak of Bagoas I naturally mean the eunuch lover of Alexander.

Nobody knows, he is not mentioned after the trial of Nabarzanes in Curtius.
When you think about, it free-choice is the only possible option.

He is only a lover in fiction, not in reality.

NO; in Curtius and Plutarch he is Alexander's sex toy, as he had been Dareios', Nabarzanes makes the relationship quite plain.
