"The Lost Chronicles of Alexander"

by Steve E. Stylianos is supposedly a translation of Ptolemy's work on Alexander, interspersed with the 'translator' filling in the missing bits. There is little difference between the two styles, so not sure why he bothered. It's a harmless enough retelling of Alexander's life, although I am not sure that it is totally historically accurate as I think for example, he might have muddled the Granicus with the Hydaspes as he has Alexander crossing the river further downstream and then attacking the Persians.
