Brill's Companion to ATG on "sale"

Post by Tantalus »

I just got a sale notification from Brill. Brill's Companion to Alexander the Great, edited by Joseph Roisman is on "sale" for € 89.00 / US$ 125.00 down from € 207.00 / US$ 279.00."

"The offer will be valid until the 31st of December 2007 and titles will only be available while stocks last. When ordering, please quote 47515 to ensure you will receive the special offer price."

For many people $125 is still a lot to pay for one book. But this may be the lowest you will find it for. So I'm just posting this FYI.

Amazon has it for $175. And on Abebooks.com the prices are from $251 and up.

I wish I had known about this and I could have saved around $50! It's a lot for a book but I couldn't resist. It's a serious book but still quite readable with interesting insights from various scholars. I've only read several articles so far but I like what I've been reading and I look forward to reading the rest. It does seem like one of those books one will refer to later over and over again.
