I'm going to be flying into New York later this month, then pretty much immediately leaving the city. However, I am hoping to be able to eke out a single hour at the Met museum. I've never been before, and the 1-hour time limit is strict. So... I need some help The website says they have 30,000 in the Greek and Roman Art collection, 7,000 in Ancient Near East, 26,000 in Egyptian art, and that's not even including the limited-time exhibition of reconstructed painting of ancient sculpture... clearly I am not going to be able to make much of a dent... but is there anyone familiar with the place who has a short list of special-interest-relevant favourites?
Sorry, I've never been, but there appears the bronze horseman https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/629492 and this head https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Ale ... _282070797
