In 2004 in Orhomenos of Beotia municipality an inscribed trophy was found which was placed there by the roman general Syllas after the victorious battle he waged there versus Mithridates the Eupator in 86 BC. The Trophy (a tree trunk made of marble that bears armor and greaves) is still under repair and will be standing again in the area where the battle took place.
