Re: A Lecture on Veronese’s The Family of Darius Before Alexander
Yes, I know what you mean, Alexias! It is titled ‘Desperately Seeking Hephaestion.’ It has been a favorite of mine, ever since Dr. Reames highlighted it a couple of years or so ago. Here it is link - https://youtu.be/igT_QvmuQeg. Enjoy! The author, Elizabeth Hopkinson, is certainly someone to watch....

A Lecture on Veronese’s The Family of Darius Before Alexander
If you love Paolo Veronese’s painting of Alexander and Hephaestion in front of Darius’ family, you would enjoy Kelly Allen’s lecture about it at the National Gallery. She does a great job of highlighting the little touches that make Veronese such a wonderful painter! Enjoy - https://youtu.be/JOkJzvA...

Re: Robin Lane Fox lecture
Thank you for the highlights of the lecture, Alexias! It is very interesting to note that Alexander was given the full five Pharaonic titles. Even more interesting is RLF’s conclusion that Alexander’s decree about the divine honors that the Athenians resented was not for him, but for Hephaestion. Ma...

Re: “An Unpublished Obituary” - An Unusual Fiction in the Midway Journal
LOL, Tei. Exactly! I had to read it multiple times to have some understanding of the themes and their development. I also looked up several words in the dictionary. The author seemed to be familiar with ATG’s history though.

Re: Alexander the Great and his 'equality'
Hi Asander, your conversation with the experts about ATG’s equality was very interesting to read. If you see this post, could you please let us know what happened to your paper (thesis)? Did you ever publish your work? Do you still hold the same views about Alexander? Or, did they evolve as you read...

Re: Alexander the Great’s Balkan Campaign
Yes, I think so, Alexias. I am, however, an amateur, not a professional historian. So, I can’t guarantee the accuracy of the historical nuances depicted in the video. As a general overview, it seemed fine.
