Re: New Relief of Arrhidaeus from Egypt

Interesting and too bad it wasn't found when I was there in 2014. I was given a special trip to Alexandria because of my novel about Alexander and also had all the hieroglyphs at Luxor that told of his coming to Egypt pointed out to me. Quite a thrilling trip!

Thanks Sikander. I appreciate any feed-back and support. Have loads of support from the Greek Consul of Vancouver and the PR person for the Greek Embassy in Ottawa. Would like to see more support from the literary community although I had had some really super reviews about the book from readers. My...

SHADOW OF THE LION: BLOOD ON THE MOON

This is hardly 'off topic' because it's about my novel SHADOW OF THE LION (volume 1 BLOOD ON THE MOON) about the fall of Alexander's dynasty. And as of next June 10 I'll be doing a special reading at the main branch public library here in Vancouver to honour the anniversary of his death in 323 BC. T...

Re: My historical novel SHADOW OF THE LION is now published

Thanks. I don't recall being in the offices of the archaologists at Nauplion but wouldn't be surprised. I had some help with research from the Society of Macedonian Studies and also the Finnish Institue in Athens.

Re: News from my publisher re SHADOW OF THE LION

Thanks Nicanor. I have to say I am totally in awe of my publisher and the amount of pre-publicity they have already done. And now my book cover art is finished (done by a very talented artist friend of mine) and things are moving swiftly toward the finish line. I'll keep everyone posted. This is a v...

Re: The Golden Mean by Annabel Lyon

I'm sure I might have mentioned this book ages ago when it first came out. I have met the author in person and she is a very nice woman but when I read the book I was hugely disappointed. For one thing its length (it seemed abrupt), the way she skirted around important parts (such as the Battle of C...

Re: Have archaeologists discovered the grave of Alexander?

I believe it is just a 'supposition' that his body could have been moved to Rome (St Mark's? Who knows?) mainly because it was revered and visited by Caesar etc etc and after I had that dream, I myself began to wonder if that might possibly be true. Remember there was a belief that whoever held the ...

Re: Have archaeologists discovered the grave of Alexander?

Somehow I doubt that new 'find' is true. I'm still inclined to wonder if it is hiding in some part of Italy (St Marks? the Vatican?) otherwise, it's likely under the sea along with Cleopatra's palace and all the rest of old Alexandria.
