hi, really enjoyed your ideas about non combat life. and rightly so.. i can only imagine how tired and bored all the normal everyday wear and tear a soldier went thru. seems like a real job though and you had to be really fit. no wonder when the soldiers got a chance to bust loose they did conquer, ...

GREAT DIALOGUE. I LOVED HOLY ZEUS. I CAN ONLY GUESS AS THE REST OF YOU KNOW BUT MY GUESS IS ANIMAL DUNG OF ANY KIND AND PROBABLY "COWARD" WAS THE WORST THING ANY ONE COULD SAY AND I REMEMBER ALEXANDER HATED SLAKERS.

hi, this is such a great question. i first met atg via mary renault. i read "the last of the wine", loved her writing and continued to read all her books. as many of this forum know mary renault loved atg. i am again reading "the nature of alexander." as to why i like him...........
