Olympias: Mother of Alexander the Great

As Christmas is approaching and I am wanting to gift myself a book, I'm intersted on some reviews for this one: Olympias: Mother of Alexander the Great by E. Carney. Is it worth? I have other book by E. Carney on Women and monarchy in Macedonia.
Would be glad on any review!

Re: Direction of the forum

I'm note ready to say that photos is fading away (especially because I see other group of activity doing that right now). I would say that we have been more to ourselves, more withheld in our discusssions, but new information is coming in; also some long not seen members are returning... If we want ...

Re: Men behind Alexander- Parmenio

Thanks! I will try to get my hands on Berve' s work!
And, yes, the " cleaning" (?) of Parmenio' s image and making him somewhat more human is the aim of my article

Men behind Alexander- Parmenio

Hi! I am preparing an article about the men behind Alexander and although I have a lot of good books in my hands I stopped dead on Parmenio. A lot of articles and theories on the conspiracy of Philotas, but very little about Parmenio's family and career before Alexander. Maybe some could suggest me ...

i would also say- interesting... That's for short. In length- this style (and especially comments on her article) reminded me of those who always think that their nation is the mightiest one (we have such a group of people in Baltics- Balts made all the world; Leto is from the name Leti (Latvian tri...
