Re: Netflix’s Alexander..

It was absolutely atrocious that they had him wear a Pharao’s hat during the battle of Gaugamela. Beyond insane.

Netflix’s Alexander..

Ok, so I watched the whole of the Netflix series on Alex and I’m shocked. Absolutely disastrous turdshow. Anyone seen it? He wore basically the same armour throughout the series 😂 And they didnt get anything right with regard to his army, uniforms, tactics, formations. Where were the famous sarrisas...

Re: Battle of the Hydaspes

Thanks for your answer! I just find it strange that they seem obsessed with denying Alexander’s victory or even Porus’s existence!! They always dwell on the absence of any mention of the battle in indian sources. That seems to be their triumphant card, well at least in their own view. Again, they sa...

Battle of the Hydaspes

Ok, so I watched a few Alexander documentaries on youtube, but my mood quickly soured upon viewing the other videos made by conspiracy theorists people living in India. These people will not let up! They fervently propose that not only did Alexander lose against Porus, but Porus also never existed!!...

Re: Conquest of Italy alternate history

Thanks Alexias! :)

But there was another article on my mind. It was a fictional account of how Ptolemy made terms with the romans to not advance any further than south of Italy or something like that..

Do you know of that one? I am looking for it.

Conquest of Italy alternate history

Hey

Just wanted to know if someone has the link to the article about how if Ptolemy reached Italy, he would have come to an agreement with Rome and split Italy in two. Interesting fiction, but I can't seem to find it..

Very interesting read indeed... thank you so much for taking the time to answer, Paralus... so giving of you.. But what I meant was: who, too, came ...

Re: Indan biased article on Alexander

Well what do you know Paralus... you even managed to throw in some details I didn't about  What a great, well put answer from you... One should really just write these conspiracy theorists in big bold letters: Alexander won, get over it!! The indians have lost so many wars that they are desper...

Re: Indan biased article on Alexander

Sandros, I applaude you response! I agree with you, and ironically, I've found lately that it mostly is those in India who is most adverse to Alexander... why??

And they keep on with the nonsense that Porus actually won the battle... dear, dear me...
